Take all those things into consideration when developig your style blueprint.
- Collect Visuals
Designing your style is like building your dream home. You have the specs now you need the visuals. Create a visual collage of style and pieces that inspire you. Also collect color ways and images that reflect a lifestyle. Pull from your favorites celebrities and influencers as well as brands you love. Use websites like Pinterest to create boards that help you pull it all together and makes it easy to share if you’re working with a stylist.
- Analyze What You Have
With your vision in place, go through the pieces in your wardrobe. Dig through all the things you have and whatever aligns with the vision, keep it. Also keep the things that you absolutely love but only statement pieces that are versatile, easy to style, and contribute to your evolution.
- Purge What Doesn’t Fit The Vision
In that same analysis, get rid of everything that contradicts your evolution. Even if you love it, wear it every day, or have ever worn it or only worn it a few times. It has to go. Your closet should only contain pieces that create an environment that allows you to put together looks that are effortless and easy to construct.
- Build A Foundation
Now that you’ve eliminated what doesn’t work, its time to make a list of what your lacking that compliments your new style. Creating a list will help you stay focused and eliminate overwhelm when shopping. Once you have the pieces start to pull your pieces and put a few looks together. This will help you ease effortlessly into your new style.
